Lesser Goldfinch - Spinus psaltria

Song: Call note is a sad drawn out nasal whine "zweeir", also a rising "tee-yee" and dropping "tee-yer". Calls are lower-pitched and harsher than Lawrence's and lack the descending characteristics of American Goldfinch's. Song is a combination of various clear warbles, squeals and twitters more musical than Lawrence's.
