Carolina Chickadee - Poecile carolinensis

Song: Song a 3-5 note whistle "fee bee fee bay" or "swee tea sweet taay" with distinct pauses between notes, pattern is highly variable. Chickadee call is faster and higher pitched than Black-capped with notes running together: "chickadeedeedeedeedee" . Gargle notes and contact calls are higher pitched than similar Black-capped calls.
