Chestnut-sided Warbler - Setophaga pensylvanica

Song: Emphatic "pleased-pleased-pleased-pleased-ta-meetcha" rising in emphasis through "meet" and falling on "cha". Also a jumble of notes with the same tonal quality. Latter is used more often later in the season but also early in the season when the bird is near territory boundary. Louder and more emphatic than Magnolia and Yellow Warblers. Confusion is also possible with Hooded Warbler, which is more musical and has a distinctly two-syllabled feel to the first part of the song.
