Spruce Grouse - Falcipennis canadensis

Song: Males engaged in "flutter-flight" display produce a non-vocal fluttering clatter sound audible over short distances. Females produce a long cackling call/song, particularly at dawn and dusk, an imitation of which can attract individuals of either sex.
