Song: Two main types of songs. First is a series of high notes followed by lower abrupt notes: "che che che chee cheeo ze ze ze ze ze ze seet". Second is a rapid series of buzzy notes followed by rising and falling whistles: "zeegle zeegle zeegle zee-o-seet". Songs tend to be clearer and softer than Townsend's but otherwise similar. Call notes are "chip" similar to Black-throated Green's.
