Lesser Yellowlegs - Tringa flavipes

Photo: Ann Cook; Adult; Breeding;
Song: Primary advertising call a continuous, musical, rolling "tu-a-wee, tu-a-wee, tu-a-wee, tu-a-wee" delivered in flight. Alarm a rapid, strident and seemingly incessant "tew-tew-tew-tew-tew" delivered both in flight and from a perch. Foraging call a fairly mellow "tew" or "tew-tew'" softer and less strident than Greater Yellowlegs and usually only one or two notes.
Sound: Monty Brigham (Bird Sounds of Canada); 1974 Aug 23; Canada, Ontario; Almonte Sewage Lagoon; Adult; Primary Sound;
