Song: The common call is an accelerating trilling hoot that ascends slightly in pitch "pwep pwep pwep pwep pwepewepwepwepepepepe", cadence like a bouncing ball. Trilling tremolo drops in pitch at end and is less slurred than Eastern Screech Owl's. Other calls similar to Eastern Screech.
